The unofficial start of summer

It's Memorial Day weekend and the weather was definitely summer like! So, it didn't take us long to decide to get the boat out. After a year off, we were excited to get it in the water. So, up early in the morning....really early...need glass to ski, you know!, we headed out. Duffy, Jonathan, Mason, Titan and me. It was the first boat ride for the furry kids. But they did great!

Jon didn't miss a step. No one could tell it had been a little while since he'd been out there! He was looking good.

We're looking forward to a lot more outings this summer! Summertime's finally here! :)

Another chapter ends....

Today Jonathan marched in the arena, walked across the stage and accepted his high school diploma. I swear I was looking at the ceiling trying to keep the tears from making their way down my cheeks when he walked in! I say it all the time and I'm sure those who hear me say it are tired of hearing it, but I swear he was just little yesterday! I know, not really, but time really has flown by! I could say all the typical stuff like how proud I am of him or how I wish him nothing but the best for the future - but all of that goes without saying! Today I watched a young man with so much potential start a new chapter of his life. We've all been there, I just wish I could find all the right words so that he would completely understand all of the opportunities that are ahead of him! One thing's for sure, I'll be his biggest fan each step of the way! Congratulations Jon!

Good bye middle school!

Jake and his friends bid farewell to middle school! They still have a few weeks of school left but Saturday was their 8th grade formal. Apparently, it's not cool to have dates, so they go in groups....boys and girls. From the looks of things, I think everyone had a great time!

High school comes to a close....

On Friday, Jonathan finished his last day as a high school student! So hard to believe. Next week is practice for graduation and then the ceremony on Friday. Can't wait! =) But before all of that, PROM! Although he didn't attend his own, he went with a friend to her prom in Smithsburg. I know I'm a little partial but I think he's a handsome kid! ;)

A little celebrating!

We celebrated Mom's BIG birthday this weekend. All of the kids and us...it was nice to have everyone together!

The weather was beautiful! A little warm for this early in the season but we'll take it! Mom even got to spend a little time with her grand dogs! :)

Speaking of which...is this a face only a 'mom' can love?! I think not...I think he's ADORABLE!
