The official start of summer

Some people consider Memorial Day weekend the start of summer while others wait for the official day in June. Around here, summer is marked by the first ski run - that was this weekend. Jim, Jonathan and Jacob threw their gear in the truck and headed to Lake Anna Friday afternoon. After a quick bite to eat at our favorite lake spot, Leonard's (actually Lakeside now, but it'll always be Leonard's to me), they met up with Jim's cousin Eric and his friend to hit the water. They were able to sneak a few runs in before the sun set; up at the crack of dawn Saturday morning to do it all again. That's all it took, they've got the ski bug again and can't wait to get the boat on the river! Welcome summer '09!
